Led Zeppelin Bass Lines Rock!

So, I’ve obviously picked 5 of the most obvious and most popular examples from Led Zeppelin’s catalog of legendary riffs, but I have to say, anyone starting on the road to becoming a rock bass player could do a lot worse than learning as many Zeppelin bass lines as possible.

Every song is pretty much a masterclass in rock bass playing and you get to work on so many different aspects of how bass can be used in an arrangement from doubling guitar riffs to weaving intricate and improvised melodic lines through a progression.

John Paul Jones is obviously a huge name in bass playing but he’s often overlooked in favor of some of the more flamboyant players from that era. Don’t fall into that trap. John Paul Jones is a monster player and writer.

It’s up now. Just below the vid. Remember it’s a zip file so you’ll need to open on a computer or a device where you can decompress zips.
