Today, I’ve got something a little different for you. It’s the holiday season and Christmas is round the corner for many of us out there so here we have a re-release of a solo bass rendition I arranged of the song The Little Boy That Santa Claus Forgot.

I released this arrangement a few years ago long before I had much of an audience on Youtube so many of you won’t have seen it.

It’s a pretty sad song so it’s a little different from the majority of cheerful Christmas tunes but it’s a tune I heard a lot at home as a kid and it’s got a great feel. If you want to hear some famous recordings of it just go find the versions by Vera Lynn or Nat King Cole.

The tune is pretty much a loose improvisation around the main tune using a variety of techniques like chords, harmonics, 4 finger picking and more. For now, I want to wish you all happy holidays and give thanks for all the great comments and views this year!
