This week we’re looking at a cool riff you can use for working on your 16th note articulation and your ghost notes. There are also a few tricky octave patterns in there. So buckle up and get ready for a workout!!

Let’s Get To Work!

This riff is a typical 16th note funk line making extensive use of ghost notes and octaves. That makes it a great vehicle for working on your technique.

Remember to take it easy to begin with. Start out slow, paying special attention to the home position and those ghost notes. Then as you build up speed you can start playing along to the supplied backing track.
