    Hi Mark,

Very cool site, adequate and helpful. Try to study as much as possible the stuff you offer.

All the best from Tilburg (Netherlands), Clemens

Mark this is the first time for me to play muted notes and it was hard at first but I got use to it and fit it in.
Its kind of like a drum beat in a way, this is what Larry Graham said because they had no drummer
and his bass playing had to compensate for the drummer.

This really sounds good and I had lots of fun learning it.
It even made me laugh because I kept hitting a note instead of a ghost note.
Thank you very much for your dedication in teaching guys like me.
I’m having great fun with my new Fender Jazz bass, my Ibanez is very light and it plays slap bass pretty good.

Well I have caught on to the ghost notes while playing slap style bass, I can do this just fine finger playing.
But its a entire different thing making ghost notes fit in with slap style bass playing. Got to be fast and good.

How do I delete that message I left above this one, what was I thinking ,its embarrassing now when I read it.

Hey Mark. Nice video. Can you make a tutorial for RHCP Can’t Stop ? I am having trouble understanding the rhythm, and everywhere I look, the bass line seems to be different. Would appreciate if you did it.

    P.S.
    Your lessons are amazing 😀

    Hello Mark.
I have been trolling the internet for lessons on how to slap but have been left completely despondent as no one would explain in practice and in detail how to slap. Many supposedly slap videos are so slim on detail that it leaves one no where but where you started – not being able to slap. I find your tutorial very simple to follow and for the first time I find myself understanding exactly what the left hand should do on the fret board. Thank you for your time and detailed explanations.
    Regards

Since a year from now, I’ve been watching and learning everything from your free lessons map. It’s just incredible. Thank you so much for everything you put down here.
