Today we’re going to look at some simple bass practice you can employ for working on almost all areas of your bass playing and musicianship.

We’re going to work on learning the notes of the fretboard, your harmony knowledge, arpeggios, scales and pretty much EVERYTHING.

We’re going to do this in a very relaxed and simple way by improvising bass lines on a jazz ballad from a basic chord sheet. For this lesson we’ll use one of the most popular jazz songs of all time: Misty by Erroll Garner.
