This week we’re going to look at rhythm, specifically 16th note rhythms. 16th notes can be problematic for bass players just getting started with the more funk oriented styles. Syncopated 16th notes can be particularly tough. So in this lesson I’m going to break down the 6 basic rhythms you need to work on in developing a good rhythmic foundation. We’ll learn how to read, play and feel them in isolation before adding pitch into the mix.
